    Zaffer's Death - 3 years

Zaffer has been gone for 3 years. Losing him has voided my life in ways I can't begin to express. Time is no antidote.

    Hatched:
    1989

    Became part of my life:
    4/21/2005

    Left me:
    2/20/2023

    Where is he?

If you are spiritual or religious, he is waiting to reunite with you. If you are neither, then he is in your heart. Just my opinion.

Thanks for your thoughts, Helena. You are correct. Many folks dealing with devastating loss tend to lean on their faith/religion as a measure toward relief and comfort. Unfortunately, I am not one of those folks. As such, the remaining option is to keep Zaf in my heart. And believe me, I very much try to do that. But the term "heart" in this context is figurative and actually equates to keeping him alive in my mind and memory. The issue thus becomes -for me at least- maintaining a path that is extremely painful. So it has not proven to be a winning strategy for me in that way.
