So many shoulda’s and coulda’s. I can totally relate to your experience. When we were taking our feral cat to the vet, we were desperate to do anything to save him. We had surgery done, overnight stay and steroids. Looking back now, I see that all of our attempts/treatments made his final days horrible. I agree with you…all he and Zaffer knew were that things they didn’t understand were being done to them. We too, should have let him go because I believe he knew he wasn’t getting better. One thing I have learned throughout that experience is to pay more attention to what they are telling me. I am shedding a few tears for both of us.
