do you get a parrot fix?

I get my cuddle fix from Zaf. I get my silly comedian fix from Salsa. I get my all-around good-natured bird fix from Jack. And I get my nurturing fix -is there even such a thing?- through attending to Maynard's special needs. How about each of you?

I had to think about this one. Joey is my all round "parrot fix" bird. He loves to sit on my shoulder and watch music videos, he talks up a storm and makes me laugh and then he laughs just like I do. But each of my other birds do something or say something that makes them special. Sometimes it's just how they look at me when I am talking to them.

Sad to say, NO. I want a cuddly bug, but Lady says don't even think about it! She does let me scratch her head and neck but beyond that I'm taking my life in my own hands.
She is very trying at times but mostly she is a all around good girl. I love how she jumps up and down, gets all excited and makes a ton of noise when she hears me enter the house, but geez, can a tired hard working woman get her shoes off or something to drink before I have to rush into the room to calm her down. Not this woman or the neighbor's will think I'm chasing her with a big stick or something.
Once she gets what she want's it all good though :th_smile:.

One is enough here! Rosie is a super high maintenance girl. But she does give me more than enough in return. Cuddles, kisses, love, silliness, etc.

I would say I get my entertainment fix from Yoshi, he is very funny but can be a bully at times. My cuddle fix is definitely from Opal (my blue quaker), she just likes to sit and nuzzle into my neck. Rainbow is my good-natured bird; not loud, not destructive, and not territorial. They all have such different personalities.

Kalea is everything rolled into one bird. She loves nothing better then to lay across the boobs with her little footsie holding her face around the eye while she is getting kisses. She is also the one who decides that she wants to lay on her side or back knowing that I won't let her fall off either. She is the one who I have to keep an on eye every second when she is not in her condo as she will test everything she can get that beak on, and if not totally destroy it, you know she has had a go at it. Kalea is also the one who gives beak kisses over and over and over and looks so adorable with her feathers puffed up while she is doing that and is also the one who when she wants on me (all the time) will just fly onto me whether is it a good time for the Mama or not. How can I not love that little girl?

Donovan I thank each and every day because he has given me his trust and love and I am grateful that I have been able to earn it. A lot of mornings when I take him out of his condo he will step up onto the boobs and half lay between them and the right arm which I have bent up for him to be able to lay on both the boobs and arm while he snuggles his beak into the crook of my arm and I give him morning kisses. It just warms my heart how much love we have for each other.

Jody is not as cuddly as the other two but she still wants her lovings, just not to the degree as Kalea and Donovan, which is ok, because we have been together for so many years, I feel like we are an old couple. LOL

I get my all around fix from Charlie, it just depends on the time of day, he is more snuggly and comedian like in the morning, he is more fiest in the evening around dinner time, he is truly like a child because he has his times of day and it seems like he has good days and bad days.

The wonderful thing is that if I am having a bad day, he can always make me smile with this antics :th_smile:

I've been getting my fix by i-message whilst I have been on a sailing vacation to Scotland and back with a couple of friends. Margaret sent regular pics and videos of what Casper was up to and I sent her pics of dolphins, seals, puffins, guillemots and other wildlife that we passed.
I only got one "where the heck do you think you've been" peck when I got back - before I was made to catch up on three weeks preening assistance that had been missed.

This is such a sweet thread!! Love hearing about everyone's babies!

My Katie is such a sweet cuddle bug, I love to nuzzle and give her rubs. But she also has a crazy personality, we call her Party Bird because she goes crazzzy when music (specifically Latin music) comes on!

So she's pretty cuddly and entertaining!

It would be so cool if you get to catch a short clip of her dancing and having a blast with music! Lady likes music too. She does a lot of bobbing up and down and stepping from side to side. I love that she makes up her own birdy talk when she is excited and the music is going. I've been trying for the longest to catch her on camera.
