That is a hard question. My guess is that having a male close by would stimulate the hormones for Gracie. Given that cockatiels are prone to egg laying, I am not sure about taking the chance. Most breeders are open to questions and sharing knowledge about the breeding process. Is there a breeder in your area that can give you some info on this?

There are a few breeders I can reach out to!
If that'll bother her I reckon I could give myself a better chance of dodging eggy struggles by looking for an adult female with no past egg laying experience. Gracie had already made it a habit by the time we got her, which I think had something to do with it. Not a guarantee but it can't hurt, lol.
