My cockatiel loved me but things suddenly snapped. She goes next to me but I can’t touch her. However, this only applies to me. Shes not running away from my mother in law or anyone else.

Have you changed anything, scent/hair/clothes? Or is she moulting, pin feathers make them very wary of being touched. Carry on with treats and bribes and let have her own space. She will be back for cuddles in a couple of weeks.

Perhaps a molt, she usually molts two times a year and hasn’t molted since May.

Have you changed something? I just have to enter the bird room wearing something they haven’t seen before and some of them will run/fly the other way. I agree with everything Casper’s 2nd best friend said above. Birds can be strange creatures.
