Thread: Shower Bathing + Toxic Tap Water

    Just a thought, you could try putting a low, clear dish with water in it on top of the cage. She may feel comfortable enough on top of the cage to go for her bath.

    Distilled or bottled water should be safe and it isn't very costly. A shower perch would be good if she will step up onto it but if she doesn't like to take a shower then it wouldn't really serve the purpose.

    Two cockatiel hens named Gracie & Matilda
    I thought I'd update this!

    Gracy began bathing in her water dish this week. I left a bigger bath at the bottom of the cage which is clearly not suitable as she does prefer her dish...but she's bathing! Thanks everyone.
