    Illiger Macaw (Primolius maracana)
    Lady is definitely a meat eater. I use to allow her to have chicken on the bone and haven't had a problem but somewhere along the way I stopped giving them to her and only allow her the meat. Silly girl would even take a cooked crab claw from my plate if I let her!

    My newly adopted macaw lucky and hubby bird cheiwe duskey headed conure
    Hummm i didnt think they were supposed to eat meat idk if id try it with lucky or not very interesting though

    They are subject to protein intoxication. As such, they probably shouldn't eat very much meat. And some species have a significantly lower tolerance for protein than others. I think it's always best to favor the safe side.

    Hummm very instresting i agree with you on staying on the safe side one of my fave quotes to live life by is " better safe than sorry" and that goes for me and all the anipals
