I have a good friend who is in Florida right now with his senagel. Up till Sunday he thought Gator was a he, well the egg disagrees. The issue is that he is really worried about "her" being egg bound. I had him give her a nice warm water bath and to keep his eye on pain behavior and told him if he sees anything to get to a vet. I sent him a link on Egg Binding from Avian Web.

Here are my questions. Any one know how many days between eggs for a senagel. I know normal is every 2 but lets face it parrots are never normal.

Any one know of a good vet down near the Keys? He is down there from Arizona so he is a little ways from home.

Thanks!

Shelly - I hope your friends bird does ok. I don't know much about egg laying. Savannah is my first female parrot. She laid an egg 9 years ago. But I think that was the only time. Now that I have a female, I do worry about laying eggs again and being egg bound. Hopefully I never have to deal with that! Hopefully you can find the answers you need. Good luck.
