This is Frankie. He was hatched in June 2005. He has a pretty good vocabulary, his favorite being "gimme a kiss" when he wants food. Don't know how he associates kisses with food, but he does.

Frankie is definitely a character. He's totally cage aggressive and when off his cage he wants nothing more than to be back on his cage. But he's full of personality! Keeps himself busy all the time. It can sometimes be tiresome for us to watch him. Not often is he still. He also tells us when he wants to be covered up at night (night night Frankie over and over) and when he wants to be uncovered in the morning (good morning Frankie over and over). If we don't uncover him in time, he will take an attitude with us until breakfast is served. lol

I thought about getting a Quaker a time or two. Recently 2 pair of them came up for sale in my area & a friend kept trying to get me to go get them. I didn't since I have no desire to breed birds & these were producing pairs. If I were to get one in the future, I'd prefer it to be a single bird I can work with on handling.

I had a parakeet years ago I taught to make a kissing sound & then say, "Gimme kiss". He had a lisp when he said it & it was so cute to hear.

I love those quaker faces. They have an arrogant look to them and the personality to back it up. Mine has that same look. The little green troll is what my daughter calls him
