well today i really upset my 12 month old male (Jerry), i did not feel like washing floors today as not in the best of health, so it was only a vacuum and what does Jerry do when the vac starts, straight to water bowl to shower and make mess all over floor, so i got smart , i took out his water bowl while vacuuming floors, well ive never seen a bird get so peeved off screaming at me jumping all over the cage, just going nuts. well finished and put water back in , and just as Jerry is Jerry ,he said stuff you str8 to water and put it all over floors, so he got his own back, got love them other wise id killem lol.:th_LOL:

LOL. Codie does this to me too, but he does it with his food, rather than the water. He waits until I start hoovering, then he stands in his food dish and flicks it all out :( He then laughs! :th_hehe:

Wish manufacturers would invent a very quiet vacuum cleaner.

Gotta love 'em! Quincy is infamous for dumping his food dish and now I think he has taught Savannah to do it, too!

Get a shower perch and put them on that and run the vaccum , shower curtain will keep the mess inside.

The swamp box/water cooler, not 'air conditioner', gets Sassy going! It's been bath time every day for her since the hot weather hit. As soon as this is turned on, she jumps in her water bowl!

For mine its just giving them fresh water. Every morning I clean and refill only to mop and refill 30 min later.

Zaf and Jack are my vacuuming-activated watersports birds. I flip on the vacuum, Zaf jumps in his water bowl and stands there in the water soaking his huge feet and splashing about. Then Jack starts taking scoops of water in his lower beak, then vigorously shaking his head to broadcast it all over the room. What is it with water, the sound of a vacuum cleaner, and parrots anyway?

Sorry everyone but I think this is so funny. Granted I only have on bird but she has never bothered her water when I have vacuumed. I'm starting to think that she is the exception to the rule if everyone else's does. I'm not complaining and if she ever did start bathing while I vacuum, I would think it was funny.

The funniest part about it, with Jerry and Aggy , Jerry gets in the bowl splashing wildly while Aggy hangs upside down from the top wings spreed and catching every drop Jerry throws her way.
