The Parrot Posse is an open group on Facebook. Since the initial posting of the description below, the organization has facilitated and distributed an additional $15,000 beyond the $35,000 mentioned (for a total of approximately $50.000) in needed care and supplies for devastated birds.

The Parrot Posse is a loosely organized group with one mission: to help parrots in trouble.
In almost 20 years online, we have learned that by working together and combining small donations, we can make a big difference.

We also document how all donations are spent, through receipts, tracking numbers, invoices, etc. Judith has established a number of dealer/distributor accounts, which allows The Parrot Posse to essentially double your donation, or more, by buying at serious discounts. The Parrot Posse has always strived for complete transparency and will continue to do so: you deserve to know how your money is spent.

In the past two years, The Parrot Posse has distributed more than $35,000 in food, cages, perches, bowls, and vet costs for parrots in need. That is literally thousands of pounds of food, thousands of toys, and life-saving medical care to thousands of birds, most of which have been seized from horrendous conditions and are being held by animal control agencies or shelters with little to no parrot experience.

We can't always show you photos of the birds, sometimes they don't even have names, but we've helped save thousands of lives already, with thousands more to come.

By working together, we are able to make far more of a difference than when we stand alone. The Parrot Posse started out as a handful of people gathering up donations to save one bird, and has grown into something so much bigger, but with the same goal: we may not be able to save ALL parrots, but "We can help this one!"
