Hi everyone. Well it seems as though I have a bird that was a kamikaze pilot in his previous life lol. So I take my gcc out this morning to run around and play and I get my baby senegal out too so that I can handfeed her. Well my gcc Rizzy is on top of his cage and he lets out this sort of battle cry :th_loltears: and attempts to dive bomb my lil senegal Lilou. I caught Rizzy in mid air (his wings are clipped but he can still get around pretty good with what he has) and I put Rizzy up. I haven't had either birds for very long. I got Rizzy in mid April and Lilou about a week ago. Could it be that my lil green cheek has bonded to me and is rather jealous of the new baby that has suddenly demanded a lot of attention??? It scared the crap out of me but at the same time it seems rather hilarious to me not sure what to think or do about it. Has anyone else had this problem before and if so what did you do about it?

Oh yes, he probably is jealous as all get out! And GCCs won't think anything of dive bombing or going after much larger birds either, so they need to be protected for their own good. Right now your baby Sennie probably has to be protected from him, but eventually that Sennie could injure Rizzy if Rizzy picks a fight with him.

Well senegals are the same way so I would defiantly try to socialize them and get them used to each other. Because senegals will go after birds much larger then them as well.

Dive bombing birds, mean business! My U2, Amigo, is a serious dive-bomber! When he does this, he is threatening who he does this to. Be aware and take care with your baby sennie.

I don't really let them around each other. Honestly I forgot Rizzy was out and I was trying to hurry and get Lilou fed because she was peeping. Usually though they are never around each other because I know how gcc attitudes are (chiuahuahs of the bird world lol) and I've heard how senegals can be so I kinda doubt they'll ever be "friends" which is fine I didn't get them to interact with each other but with me so if they don't like each other I can live with that. Since my sennie's still a baby I have to protect her but I know when she's older she could hurt Rizzy so I'm afraid to let them around each other really because I would never want anything to happen to either of them. I've read about toes getting bitten off with ppl who have multiple birds and such so I'm very hesitant to allow them time together or anything. Is that wrong? I figure If I give both quality and equal attention they may be jealous of the other but they'll get over it. Lol I was feeding and cuddeling Lilou one day and noticed Rizzy giving me the evil eye and I wondered for a second if he felt like I was "cheating" on him :concern:
