Colors

Does anyone know if macaws or birds in general see colors and how well. I'm guessing they do and they have their favorites. Josie had a blue harness that she loved to wear unfortunately she outgrew it and the new one is purple. She has a fit whenever I try to put it on her. Can it be that she doesn't like the color?

Yes, they can see colours. It could be that she does not like that particular colour harness. They can be really funny over certain things:(
Codie does not like anything Blue!

They can actually see more colors than we can and can see into the UV spectrum. My birds all have colors they like a lot and some they don't like at all.
