Natural wormer for birds?

Hi all,

How is pumpkin with ground seeds in it as a wormer for the birds especially princess of Wales. I haven’t wormed my birds at all and feel like I should. I have English budgies that I know need to be wormed before breeding as well as my princess of Wales..

Unless your birds are outdoors and foraging on the ground, there really shouldn’t be a need to worm. However, ground, fresh pumpkin seeds can be used as a natural wormer if you are in doubt. It wouldn’t hurt to take a stool sample to the vet for verification.
