Well I thought I'd just share with everyone for those who may not know I am working my way into becoming an avian vet, so the first step has been a veterinary assistant program to truly find if this is the field for me(defiantly is:)). Well today was the certifying test that approves me as a veterinary assistant.. Well today was the day to take it... And I passed it! So I can now add the letters AVA behind my name along with my veterinary national advocate and parrot behaviorist:). I am so happy my foot is in the door and I am ready to take off! Many of you have given me support wether it have been on here or other forums and I thank you greatly:).

I'd like to add I am one of those losers that can pass tests with A's and not study, well I did study for this one and didn't even get my normal scores I do not know what is up with that lol. Still at the top of my class with a 99% for the year!

Thanks everyone, Justin

Thank you everyone! I do not currently work at an avian vet there are not many in this area and the only one I'd work with is not currently hiring, so I am interning with a vet hospital that does the normal.

Lol pinky not trying to rub it in just proud of myself at the moment, and yes my young age is often deems for most to try and down play my knowledge sadly:(... O he is to young to really understand these birds and so on. Kinda a challenge for me:(

Thank you everyone it means so much!

Thank you so much to everyone this means a lot to me:).

To answer the age question I am 17 turning 18, I have been around parrots all my life and started heavily studying and working behavior when I turnt 10 I am not sure what clicked but I just managed to do well with many of the birds I met, so five years later when I was 15 I began to rescue and do behavioral work as more of an occupation instead of a hobby, I am very blessed to have been given the chances I have with these amazing creatures and now will spend my life doing what I've already been doing for years. I probably hit the mark of working with 1000 parrots a month ago and I want to work with thousands more!
