Portioning Chop?

Hi!! My local bird store sells a chop mix, so I decided to get some, but I have never used chop before so I have some questions about the portioning and all that.

It came in a Ziploc baggy, but not portioned;how should I defrost it if it's one big block?

I would defrost it in the fridge and feed it to her daily. If it stays in the fridge it should be good for a few days. Hopefully Gracie loves it!
