It's been 2 years

On December 20th of 2015 we began our journey with Nike. She has been nothing but a joy to us and fits in with our animal menagerie perfectly.

She's been flighted for a couple of months and this is her new favorite place. Now we have wax paper on our end tables instead of doily's.

Love the picture of her on the lampshade. It's amazing what we do in reconfiguring our living space to accommodate our feathered companions. It's either that or there will be mayhem....lol.
Nike looks very happy there. What will you do when you go on your camping trips?

I plan on getting her a mild clip....actually I don't know. My biggest worry is that my wife takes forever to come in or go out of the camper so the door is open a long time. A mild clip would allow her to fly to the floor. I'll cross that bridge when I get to it. Nike was flighted until the day before we picked her up so she has experience going from flighted to not already.

We only have her out of her cage when we'e in the camper so we can control the situation.....luckily she's not a speed demon.

If I could afford that I'd probably have a second home somewhere warm with an outside aviary and a bunch of birds ;)

Not so sure I would like Lady hanging out on a lampshade as she would surely leave it soiled!
