They are beautiful! I wish I had known my little girl when she was a baby. She was 13 when I got her in 2008.

So colt they ended up being two females? They are looking great:), on the pet market in your area do you find females or males more demand able... I see a higher interest in males around here just to the fact of the supposed better attitudes and talking I guess.. I prefer the females in coloration though:).

Do you find [being around a few ] that their a little bit alike ? In personality and temperament :)

Females I find to be Alittle more grumpy And less talkative and playful, but eclectus can be a broad spectrum going from what I described to playful, talkative, intuitive, etc... It is bird to bird like I always say, I know I sound like a broken record.... I prefer my male over the female, but I have to remember they are bonded and Molly has all of her needs taken care of by max, we're as max love attention on top of what Molly gives him.

I'd say they are similar when single, but when it is a bonded pair the female is more reserved as the male is more outgoing(this isn't just from my pair I've met so mny pairs that are like this, maybe colt could add to this).

ok lets see if i can get all this ,!st its the same around here Jt , males preferred, but have no trouble in get buyers for my females, pinkbirdy in all my years breeding i have never come across two with the same personality or even close, they are all individuals, back to you JT in most of my birds and my brothers , the males are the more talkative and playful with the female of a bonded pair she seems more grumpy as they are always thinking of babies, as i said in most birds, with my first pair lexxy talks plays and a lot more happy than maxx. gem you know you can have one two three four any time you want. ok now for the latest update pics.

They are getting cuter by the photo! I had a male years ago & he was a sweetheart. He didn't pick up on talking much tho. When my breeder's eggs hatched I had first choice of either sex. I chose a girl this time even tho I'd read all the negative things about them.

Leyla Belle has great talking abilities. She loves to learn phrases rather than single words. She is not a touchy feely bird & has a mind of her own. If she doesn't like something, she is not going to do it. That is why I call her the Diva of my flock!

i can stop posting the pics..............................NOT .....................she is sitting on two more eggs already.26 more days and there will be more babies so ill post some of them, any one else that hand feeds eckies, what are the diff weights between your two birds with the 2 day hatch diff and weight around 10 week mark, as i find it so funny how with even hand raising until they are eating by there self, there weight does not catch up they stay those two days apart until they both are eating on there own
