Spring time is here and spring clean-up is a must. Two weeks ago I decided my door trim needed painting. The door leads from my kitchen to an upper deck.

I removed the planter pot from the ledge to take out the old plant from last year and to my surprise I found this.

I returned the planter to the ledge and I kept my eye on it. This morning I took this picture
4910.

The painting will now have to wait until these hatch and the little ones fledge. I will try to update with pics when possible, but I don't want to disturb them too much. The only issue I am having is the nest is so close to the door whenever the door opens she flies away. We are trying to limit the use of this deck but we all forget and it is the morning coffee deck because it faces the lake. If we are sitting outside the mother will come and sit back on the eggs, so there I think there is a small element of trust there.

I love it when the robins nest around the house like that. You have a "birds eye" view of the hatching and fledging.

How strikingly beautiful! I love the blue of robin eggs :D. I hope they all hatch and that the little ones will be healthy and remain safe. And yes, please keep us updated on them! Thanks for sharing, Rosalyn.

Oh they reminded me of the "robin eggs" candy that are made of malted balls, a coating of chocolate and an outer candy shell---:o. They're my favorite.

LOL, but as these are true robin eggs, they are so much better. Robins are such busy little early birds. The females sure will tell you if your to close to the nest with their bills clacking away. Such a pleasure to hear them in the early morning.
I, too hope they do well and live a healthy, safe life. It will be cool to see them as they grow up and leave the nest.

I took this picture 3 days ago, but didn't get the chance to post it.

When I went outside this morning I was so upset. I found the planter on the ground sideways an not a baby to be found. I searched outside and to my surprise here they are.

I could only see two, but the other one may have been the oldest and flew to a nearby tree. The one sitting on the swing flew away and then came back. The mother is still feeding.
