I'm sorry I haven't been around much. Life has been busy and I haven't had much time. I check in but that has been all I have been able to manage lately.
I came across this on FB and I thought I would share.

I fall in the last category. It's ridiculous. :). How about everyone else?

I fall into the 2nd category...too many birds to worry about who is doing what, when...lol

Casper always lifts one leg to spread his cheeks before doing a poop. That gives us about five seconds to get out from underneath him. Of course sometimes he is just lifting his leg to tuck it under his feathers and he wonders why we are panicking. :)

Hard to say. Some give signs others don't. Yoshi just says "you're messy" afterwards.

LOLOL This is great. I would say I'm the second one with the new bird I just got, but the cockatiel I had as a kid put me in category 3. He ruffled his feathers in a certain way right before he pooped so I could always catch it. ^^

When Casper poops from a high perch he then looks down to see where it landed :)

Maybe it's a game and he has an imaginary target to hit.
I really don't pay much attention when she is going except for the first bomb of the day. Surely want to stand clear of that one!

You could be right, today he managed a direct hit in the eye of the picture of a lady in the newspaper. I wonder what happens when a lot of birds roost in the same tree, it is obviously an advantage to be as near the top as possible but do those on lower limbs ever get pooped on?

Yes, my Eclectus does the same thing. All I can think of is that it makes a mighty splat as it hits the floor and he is looking to see what the sound is.
