Some of you have read my post about my dear, sweet blue and gold, Rio and subsequent posts about Woodstock and Stevie Nicks.
So, here are my new friends, Woodstock and Stevie. I am so lucky to share my home with them! Both are very tame, super-sweet birds!

A lovely pair, did they come from the same source or are you having to quarantine them?

They are beautiful. I love the lovebird's colouring.
That's great that you ended up with both birds! I'm sure you will have lots of exciting adventures with them that we all will love to hear about. They are both very cute.

Stevie and Woodstock are such sweet birds! I am ashamed to say that I completely forgot about quarantining them....I put them both in my doll room. They both seem very healthy, so far I'm lucky.
They are very interested in each other and when I let them out one at a time in the evenings, whichever one is out will always end up perched on the other's cage checking out their roommate.
They were both accidentally out at once the other night, but I quickly caught Woodstock and popped him back in his cage. Each of them will fly around and land right on my shoulder! Woodstock was perched on my shoulded for quite some time Tuesday evening, and suddenly the necklace I was wearing fell off! He managed to open one of the links!
We're ready attached to each other, when I walk in tge door after work, Stevie starts up chirping and doing her high pitched tweet or screech, whichever it is..

I feel bad tonight....I came home ill this morning from work and can't spend time with them out of their cages. I hope they aren't too upset.

Get well soon Rachel, they do seem to be settling in well. Do remember to remove you earrings if you wear them before letting the birds out otherwise you will be searching for the back pieces, worrying about whether they have been swallowed or not. An occasional problem around here when Margaret forgets :)

Nice to hear they are settling in well and I hope you feel better soon. Invest in some good masks, I wear them when I am ill.

Thank you, Jean-Pierre for the good advice! The most surprising thing about my two little buddies is that Stevie is completely stealing the show! I had worried that I might have a tendency to pay more attention to Woodstock than Stevie, simply because of how much I adored my last cockatiel.
Stevie, however, had her own plans! She's stolen my heart with her cute plucky personality and her funny antics. She loves to fly to my shoulder and chatter in my ear---getting loud when I talk to her. She even seems to understand me---last night she was pestering Woodstock as they perched on his playtop of his cage. I said' "Stevie, come here!" and she flew right to my shoulder!
Don't worry, tonight I will give all the attention to Woodstock. Here are some new pics of Stevie being Stevie and a pic of Woodstock in his cage after I rearranged it.

Stevie and Woodstock are beautiful. Stevie definitely looks like she has wormed her way into your heart. It doesn't take long.
Glad your feeling better! They sure look as though they are getting lots of TLC.
