Welcome back, Mare. I'm very sorry to hear about your father's passing. I've experienced that myself so I can imagine what's it's been like for you. We've missed you, too :grouphug:

Welcome back Mare. Sorry to hear about your father.
Thank you, Tony. I suppose you don't truly know till it happens to you. So many memories and feelings come welling up to the surface, those that you never knew you remembered! Life is good, I know my outlook on life, to this day..has a lot to do with my mom and dad's upbringing of me and my siblings.
Thank you, Helena :)

I am truly sorry Mare, I hope you are keeping okay.
My condolences to you and your family Mare. I too know what it's like to lose a parent, actually I've lost both. I believe they are in a better place and someday we will be reunited. Let those memories keep you strong until then.

I'm so sorry ,it's been a hard year for you .
Thanks, Terri. Ive heard death comes in threes, three of my longtime best human friends have died in the past 2yrs, my dad being the fourth. Add Amigo to the list and the list is getting long. I remember my Uncle Lee telling me, years ago, after my brother then sister then mom all died within two years...don't worry, honey, there won't be more for awhile, death comes in threes. Well..I'm now wondering.. :(

Ive heard death comes in threesStrange you should say that. My Father was the second oldest of 10 children. He passed in June, his older sister passed in November and one of his younger sisters passed in January.

I'm sorry for your losses, Rosalyn. Yes, pretty strange for sure. Since my uncle told me of this phenomenon, many years ago, I tend to take notice..it's not always true but sometimes, when it rains it pours :(

Your are right about it pouring. I think the hardest part was all our family is in England and Scotland. My dad has one brother and one sister here with their families, but the rest are overseas. Most are too old to travel now, so when we had the memorial for my father we set up skype and most of them went to my cousins house for the day. Even though it was such a sad event it was wonderful to have the ability to have everyone "kind of" together. They were very appreciative and moved to be able to be part of the day.
