I saw this on another forum and had to share it here.
It is so ridiculous that I can completely relate to it (except for the date part & the very end).
Anyone else relate?

I can see how you would relate with a huge bird like Rosie. I can just see her vying for your attention when you are talking to someone else.
I can relate even though my birds are a lot smaller. The in your face and attention seeking as soon as my attention is elsewhere is definitely the same.

Even with small birds I can totally relate to the vying for attention, but until you see something from the outside you never really "see" it.

Not so much vying for attention with Casper, more wanting to join in the conversation when visitors are here - jabbering away until we can't talk for laughing

HA! That's pretty funny :D - in a pathetic sort of way. Like most comedic sketches, it's fairly exaggerated. But that's of course why it's so amusing. Anyone who's considering impulse-buying a parrot should probably watch this Jasper the Parrot clip first ;)
I remember seeing this skit long ago. To SNL's credit, someone on the production staff clearly had some experience with larger parrots... or perhaps had at least observed a few prior to creating the character. Some of his behaviors and mannerisms are indeed based in accuracy (if a bit distorted). I wonder why the description is wrong, though. The scarlet macaw suit doesn't = an "African Parrot". I'm guessing that may have been an ad lib on the actor's part. Nonetheless it's a cute clip :D
