He does love it on there, gently swinging back and forth, looking out the window at tree top level across the fields.

Hi Jean-Pierre,
So nice to have you posting again, and great to see Casper! Happy 2017 to all of you as well. We missed you guys and glad your back! Casper looks his usual handsome self on his swing. His tail feathers are looking quite full too.

Thanks Stephen
welcome to PP by the way.
Casper is doing OK, he's coming on for thirty years old and is suffering a bit from arthritis so will be on Metacam for the rest of his life. We need more sunshine.

Jean-Pierre, I'm sorry to hear about Casper's arthritis. Do you live in the U.S.? I'm curious how much you pay for the Metacam. You can private message me if you want (if you can do that... I'm new to this site). I'm asking about cost because you stated that you will be giving him meloxicam (Metacam) for the rest of his life and I know that vet meds can be expensive.
I am a pharmacist for an independent pharmacy in Texas. I currently have no access to vet specific products, although some meds like meloxicam are human products as well. I will soon be taking a class on vet specific meds. My plan is to incorporate vet meds into the business. I don't own the pharmacy, so I will have to ask permission to do this and also to set up an account with a vet med wholesaler. But if I can possibly save you any money, I would be glad to do so. Again, since I don't own the pharmacy... my idea might get shot down. But, it is something that I am interested in doing.
I am also willing to give you our pharmacy license name and number... as well as my license number. You can verify all info on the Texas State Board of Pharmacy. Again, I don't know if the owner of the pharmacy will allow me to incorporate vet meds into the business. So this offer relies on him allowing me to expand services. Let me know if I can help you.
Carmen

Hi Carmen, sorry, I have just caught up with your offer which is very generous but... I am in England so probably not economical by the time postage etc is paid.
Stephen: thank you for your kind thoughts.
Casper is enjoying his meds as he gets them in a teaspoon full of yoghurt, custard or porridge. He always licks the spoon clean and then throws it as far as he can from the cage.
This is an old photo of Casper having his meds which new visitors may not have seen

Hey, I remember that photo... and for some reason its caption seems quite familiar ;)
