Hey all! I am terribly sorry to have been gone so long.. I've been really busy at work ( have not had an off day for 2 weeks and have classes every day too ).. Exams are this coming week and I will have plenty of time to post from now on hopefully.

Nash is doing great, although I have been working I have also been "working" Nash into my schedule and have had my father take him out too. He has been getting less out of cage time, but I will be making up for it soon!

Some new updates in my life ( bird related and not ):
- The original 300+ Dekalb hoarding birds have ALL gone to new rescues and homes after 6 long months of care from wonderful volunteers. The last of the crew was shipped out to Florida this morning(:
- I finally figured out what my senior project will be, and that's training a rescue macaw to trust me and do a few tricks! I know its a huge step, but I hope to have it accomplished by May. I've already started to work with this Green Wing Macaw and hope to keep you posted.
- I have my ACT test Saturday ( for those of you that don't know, the ACT test is a huge test that determines whether I will get into colleges or rather which colleges I will be accepted into ) and I hope to do really well on it.. I also have looked into a bunch of colleges and have about 10 on my watch list. This is huge for me because this time 6 months ago I didn't even want to go to college!

That's all my bragging for now, but glad to be back and glad to talk to you all again soon(:

Welcome back, Savannah. Sorry to hear you've been so busy but I'm glad to know everyone is somehow coping.

It's good to know that many of those rescued birds have progressed to potentially better situations. I wish them well! There was a horrendous report I saw on FB the other day involving animal hoarding with many dead parrots, reptiles and rodents. The photos are quite repugnant. They convey how sickeningly tragic the matter is. Reading about it, I was reminded of the situation you were involved in helping out with.

And hey, it will be great to hear more about your macaw training project!

Please hang in there and check in with us when you can :)

Welcome back, glad to hear you and Nash are doing well. That is good news some of the birds are going to loving homes, hopefully the ones going to new rescues will also find a place to call home soon.

Your senior project sounds like a great one. I am sure you will do great with it.

Good luck on your test, and I hope you get into the college you want.

Life is filled with many building blocks and each of those blocks contribute to the life you will build for yourself.

Realizing the importance of the ACT's along with working with the GW are a couple of great building blocks for your Life's Foundation.

Wishing you every success with your ACT thingy, I have no idea what it is about but if you can get away with doing something about parrots you can't fail because you are a brilliant parrot person.

The ACT is justa standardized test that allhigh schoolers must take in order to go to college so unfortunately I could not do it about parrots :P But thank you all for your kind words.. I hope I did well, I feel pretty okay about it now that it is over with! The highest score you can make is a 36, but average is roughly a 21... I aimed for a 25-30 but who knows!!
