View Full Version : Another goffins..
My daughter is a massage therapist and has a huge following of people that love her, not just her work but, her. One of her clients got wind that I have birds/love my birds and has a daughter that has contacted me, through my daughter. This woman has a one and a half year old female goffins that she doesn't have the time for, anymore. I definitely am not looking to take on another bird,,especially a goffins! Her's sounds much like our Sassy girl. They are the cutest, most adorable, monsterous creatures that you will ever meet..
Tim says, absolutely, no way..no freakin' way! We'll see..that's what I say :)
How do you folks feel when asked if you want another bird?

I know right now I would not be able to care for another little one. I do love them and would completely fill my house, but it would not be fair to them.
That is just right now:th_wink:

What difference is one more going to make... the trouble is before you know it you're in the news as a hoarder like that doctor chap.
I believe you know your limits and will act sensibly... when does it arrive? :)

I know that I can't take on any more birds. It wouldn't be fair to the ones I presently have. However, in a pinch, I would look at taking one in that required immediate care with the intent to rehome. I just can't stand the thought of a bird no longer wanted by its owners, still living in an environment like that.
Jean-Pierre, you crack me up! Just think, Tim could have one more on the other shoulder!

We DONT have time for one more as much as I would like to help, can't happen.
Wow, it's a difficult choice, but like everyone else, it would have to be only because we have the time and energy to devote to him or her.

If you have the time to devote, then why not. Everyone has to know their limits....but what's the alternative for this bird.
We can call it Mares Bird Rescue
Tim will get over it.
Dave..I notice that there is no goffins cockatoo in your bird list..

That's a great picture of them both enjoying a cuppa, would two goffins play together and stay together? :)

Holy smokes Mare.....your right. We actually had a rescue goffin for a few months. He was approaching 50 years old...and you could tell it was a rough 49 years.Once he came to us,he developed well into our daily routine. He would always enjoy lounging on top of his cage.Sadly he suffered a sudden heart attack and passed.I would love another one...but one must admit when the limit has been reached. We have a few people yet looking to surrender...we'll see what happens.
