My little conure tries this as well. I think it has to do with them knowing food goes in there....lol.
Just be careful that he does not get any of your saliva, as that could make him ill.

I just know that for me, there is no way a big beak like that is getting near my face...I have seen too many accidents/incidents.:th_eek:

Yes lol i had to press my lips so he could not get his beak in my mouth i had read about human saliva and our pet parrots before he tryed his i was kinda scared when he started that but had to get my fellings in check super quick so he wouldnt react to my vibes lol my fears of his beak are always there but i do alot of holding him close to my face when i talk to. Him so he can see the way my mouth moves i only do this for short peridos of time... i also kinda though mabey he was trying to feed me which i would never want lol i sure thought it was funny and made me think mabey he does like me after all the goof ball lol

To me, Jenn, it looks like you are loved by Lucky :). My new female umbrella cockatoo, Shaggy, does the same thing. It takes a WHOLE lot of faith to let that big beak so close to your face!

my cockatoo charlie was always close to my face , never bit me once, but he hated everyone else. a bite from a cockatoo is horrible but a bite from a macaw is 100 % worse i would imagine

Yes i only have him around my face area if hes in a happy mood i turst him complety thoe i do know his behavior can change in a second that thoug hr is always in the back of my mind lol

Thank you i feel hes cares for me deply not sure how fast a bird can fall in love its been a great three or four months since I acquired him and ya know he puts his faith in me every day i dont mind giving a little back to him by being up close and personal with my birdface lol
