Newspaper?

Does everyone use newpaper for the bottom of their birdcages? On the grate, in the bottom drawer or both?

I couldn't find a good source of newspaper once I moved here and I started using flyers and anything I could use as a substitute.....paper towels in the canary cages. I finally made a few calls and found the mother lode at a grocery store about 10 minutes away. They will let me go through their recycling on Thursdays. Omg....I got at least a month's worth when I went, I skipped all the way to van!

We don't have a daily paper but our next door neighbours do so Margaret goes on skirmishing raids on Thursday eves after they have put their refuse out for collection.

Ahh yes...I have a few shredders too. Casper does look like a happy camper....best toys/distractions are found in the home. Saves a lot of money.

yes i do newspapers on both grate and tray. nash likes to destroy it

LOL, yes, I use newspaper or sometimes the old fashion computer paper that is linked together that I get from work on occasion. Sometimes I do put it in both places but mostly down in the drawer. When Lady tries to get down in the drawer, I put a folded piece on the grate for her. She does shred it somewhat but mostly likes to walk around on it. Maybe it's the noise it makes but idk for sure what she gets from it... :shrug:

Yes, newspaper is major around here! The floor of the bird's cages are protected with this! :)

I dont have newspaper around here but insure do use alot of readers out here

I use just plain old white computer paper since all my cages have bottom racks they never get to shread it. In my breeder boxes I use shredded virgin paper.
