I was able to weigh lucky I did it in grams he weighed 958 grams from what I have looked up that should be normal for his breed age and size (??)

Ah, that's another good reason for getting his beak and claws done at the vets, our vet advised us when we first got Casper that he was overweight, he now says that after Casper lost about 40 grams that he has "good muscle tone" :)
I know nothing about Macaws but I expect someone will be along shortly to give an opinion.

I do belive he needs more exercise though because sometimes when we get to playing and he gets a little huffy and puffy LOL

I will chek it out thanks i feel like hes a pretty healthy guy and i sure do love him to bit as i do the rest of my anipals
