I haven't shared any of my art work in awhile, so I thought I would share some of my recent feather paintings! (:

Here is a Senegal that I finished up earlier.

I also agree that you are quite talented. It can't be easy painting on feathers and not messing up their natural formation. So what can you do with them? Are they for framing, or wearing and how would one keep them looking so beautiful?

Thank you Suzanne! I have done necklaces and earring in the past, but they are hard to keep in good condition. When you wear them they start to split, and I haven't figured out a way to keep them from doing that. ):

Thank you Alice! The first layer of paint is the hardest part, then it gets easier!

They are usually framed or put in a shadow box. People usually send me their feathers, so that they have a special painting of their bird own their own feathers! Once they are in a frame, they are pretty safe. Once in awhile I check them for dust and if needed, give them a careful dusting.

I like the shadowbox / frame idea :colorflash:

Awesome,
One day when I have enough I want to make a wreath of feathers. I've seen a few and they are so pretty, I just want to make sure I take care of it properly.
