View Full Version : A mystery plant..?
One of my son's started some seeds and can't recall what he put in each cup. Well..I planted a bunch of the cups that he'd started and I know what a tomato plant looks like but what is the one in the middle?

I'm not sure....maybe cauliflower? Always nice to get a surprise in the garden that you weren't expecting.
I used to grow cleome in my flower beds, but I got too many raised eyebrows. When not in flower....it looks a little like marijuana. When I started getting questions like "can you smoke it?" I knew it was time to stop planting it....should have probably put a little stake and sign in front of it. :th_biggrin:
I'm getting lots of them Helena! :). I know what a pepper plant looks like..as in Serrano or jalepeno but I'm also seeing a different type of pepper plant..hmm..I'll get you a pic up, soon.

Is pot legal in Canada? In Cali, we are semi-legal..whatever that means :(. I refuse to incriminate myself by showing a photo :)

I don't think pot is legal yet. I believe the government is finalizing the conditions that must be in place before it moves ahead. But don't quote me on this, I don't plan on growing or selling any so I'm not following this.

I would love to grow and sell but I believe, our corporations are going to step in to profit..the effers, that they are :(

The plant in the middle looks like some sort of cabbage variety... or rhubarb - I'm no gardener. Best to find out before eating, rhubarb leaves are poisonous :)
A friend just told me it looks like Brussels sprouts!!
Yummm, can't wait to hear about what you got there. Of course a new recipe is always welcome too :).
I've discovered that we also have artichoke plants! I've never seen the plant before but if I were a dragon, I would have them ALL over my yard!! (No offense, Helena :) )
