Let's see your sunsets, folks!! Nothing better than the end of a day..especially when living with loud mouthed cockatoo's :)
Sunsets are difficult to get when your surrounded by buildings :(. Yours is very nice.
Really, Alice? Come on, you've got to see a sunset somewhere, sometime..try :)

I think I can see Amigo, bottom left :)
Lovely.
Camera out and ready, just need the clouds to clear.
I think I have a better chance of getting sunrise then set. I'll be watching for some nice pics. This is one I think I posted before but I still like it.

Casper's tucked up for the night although still doing a bit of beak grinding, so I popped out with the camera.
I offer no apologies for the fact that our neighbours like Truffula trees.

This one is from across the "allotments" - community vegetable growing area.

I probably should have waited another few minutes for better colour but it was getting chilly.
Those are beautiful photos Alice and Jean-Pierre!! Around here, the best sunsets are when there's a storm brewing.
I don't think I've posted this one here, before..I know I posted it on my FB page..

Nice pic. We had a wonderfully warm day that ended in some most enjoyable cooling rain showers!

We have a house on the Sea of Cortez side of Baja Cali, Mexico and the sun rises there, over the ocean/sea. Coming from California, that was always an oddity for me :)

All are beautiful pics! No pics from me....photography was never an interest. I just took the regular pics of the family, pets and the gardens.
Interesting to see the skies and landscape from different areas of the world.

I'm so jealous Mare! I am constantly on the lookout for a vacation house. I haven't found that perfect place yet. Plus, we have to get the kids through college first. We are heading to Exuma in the Bahamas in April. I am hoping that will be the perfect place for our vaca house/retirement. :) There is a nearby island with friendly swimming pigs so it sounds like a fit to me!!! :)

The Bahamas sound like heaven! Do you ever watch House Hunters International? I record all of their shows and get to travel the world while riding my elliptical! :). Seriously, though..this show has shown me places where I might want to someday live/visit and places I would never want to bother with.

Yes, we love that show Mare. We watch almost everything on HGN.

I love Househunters international! I dream about owning property on the beach, but I don't think I would be happy there long term. I enjoy the different seasons here in Canada. We try to cram in so much summer living during the warm months that winter is almost a break. Then spring brings the excitement of new growth, birds, flowers, butterflies etc.

It's dark now and there is an industrial sized thunderstorm to the south of us lighting up the sky and rumbling away.
Just before sunset we had another one come through. I got these pics before the heavens opened

The storm is approaching, there is a rainbow forming almost vertically.

Hadlow Tower (a Victorian folly that has just been restored) looking golden in the evening sun with dark clouds behind it.
