CORAL GABLES, Fla. (WSVN) -- After two macaws were found shot and killed in Coral Gables last week, Coral Gables Police and experts from Jungle Island joined forces to protect the parrot community in South Florida.

I've been hearing about this for a month or so.. Very sad :( I went recently to south Florida for a week on vacation and actually got the pleasure to see a parrot or two while there.. Sad that they have been set free like that but I am glad they are adapting to the USA!

It made me sick when I heard about it. I cannot imagine what kind of person would do something like that. Unfortunately, there are far too many people walking around without empathy or a conscience.
