Hi All,
Anyone ever try Goldenfeast Bean Supreme ([Users must be registered and logged in to view attached photos or hyperlinks])?
I found a bird supplies store in the big city which has just about everything in the way of food, entire walls full of food.
We talked about how fussy Nike is and she suggested this Bean supreme. Nike is so different from my OWA who would empty is bowl in minutes no matter what you fed him. She seems to pick at it and really enjoys the broth.
I'm just curious if anyone has ever used it.
At this store the 23oz bag was about $8.
Thanks
Bill
It sounds good as far as ingredients and the price but I haven't bought any myself. How are you going to introduce it to Nike? As a treat or just mix it into her current diet?

Godlenfeast is a good company and I use many of their products. Have not used this one but I will say it is certainly worth a try.

Certainly looks like something I would try! I wish some of our local chain pet stores would carry more of a variety.
We are going to the Exotic Pet Expo in Nashville next week and I will take a look for some of this. We mostly go for toys and perches, but I always pick up new foods to try. This one seems to have potential.

Bill, is this a product that is soaked to soften?

Mare, the directions say dry or cooked but recommend cooked. Add the serving to boiling water, stir, cover and remove from heat to let cool. The opened package should be refrigerated. The cooked product will stay fresh for 3 days in the fridge or it can be frozen.
I boil a half cup of water in the microwave and then add a quarter cup of mix. This makes enough for multiple servings for Nike.

You can make your own soak also! I do,
Here's one, everybody was teasing me about the birds having gas. you can add barley, wild rice , lentils, pasta,
Does anyone make soak, their are commercial one's, I like to get creative making my own... my latest blend is unhulled barley, split peas, lima beans ,wild rice, pinto beans, garbanzo beans, red lentils, black beans, red kidney beans, rinse and cover with water bring to boil, simmer for 10 min. turn off, cover and let soak till water is absorbed and pulses have expanded. Drain and divided into desired serving size in snack size baggies and freeze. When I serve up soak I take out single serv portion put in micro safe dish/bowl to heated through, while still warm I add Goji Berries and pine nuts sparingly

Actually it does taste pretty good. Although I would prefer to cook it a bit more to get the bitterness out, but I do like that its still firm.
