Interesting article. I always found it very cool to see the wild parrots roosting on the buildings in the cities and towns of Australia. Nothing like drinking a pint at an australian pub while sitting outside watching the parrots. While I have occasionally heard them, specifically flocks of cockatoos, it was always while I was out an about and the noise didn't bother me. I can imagine if one were laying in bed that the noise would be disturbing, though not enough to warrant shooting them. The biggest surprise I read was that the Texas population rivaled that of Mexico, and in Texas there were only 1000 birds.....sounds endangered to me.
