It's a rainy, stormy Easter afternoon in our neck of the woods. Time for pics!

I told my husband he was the conure whisperer! Pick up your phone or laptop and you've got more birds than you can possibly handle in this house! Sookie is trying to snuggle in his arm - she just got run out of the inside of his shirt by sassy Lucy. I think Sook might be a bit hormonal right now, even though she is barely a year old. She seems to have her sights set on my husband. The babies usually gravitate to me.

Billy is growing so fast - and he's so beautiful. I am still concerned over that wing being clipped, I see no sign of the feathers growing back in. He so wants to fly with everyone else. Also, does anyone notice anything unusual about his feet? He climbs well, and he can perch just fine, but there is something just not right about his "toes". It's as if he can't "dig in" with his claws like the others can, almost as if they are not functioning???

Jaz was feeling very pensive AND vain today, until she got photobombed by a budgie...This was an experiment, but they truly get along great.

And, some closer pics of the lovies...If I didn't know better, I would swear they were totally pairing off.

Trying to see the screen with a birdy butt in the way. People without birds don't appreciate how simple their lives are. :)
Love the pics. Stormy here too, coming through beaufort 9 in the night. I hope the wild birds are hunkered down well.

My female Linnie took forever to grow back flights. It was a few weeks short of one year. I finally got my birds a supplement called Featheriffic. Their feathers really shined and looked so healthy. The breeder suggested this. Can't see the toes well on kindle. Has a vet checked them out?

Love the pics of all your babies! They are beautiful! You are worried about Billy's feet? Can he perch without trouble?

Can Billy grip your finger? He may have a problem with the tendons if the toe is permanently straight.

Dianne, Billy hasn't been to the vet yet, but I think I may take him this weekend when I'm off. I want to make sure those flight feathers aren't clipped to the point they will never come back. A whole year? I could strangle the breeder for doing that. We only asked her to clip them so he would be easier to work with trying to tame him. Had we known how tame he was, we would have never had it done. My vet clips the feathers right behind the front one, so it isn't visible and they can still fly short distances. We only clip when we first get them, to make it easier to work with them.

He can perch on your finger, or a perch. He climbs the cage like a monkey. It's hard to describe. When he's climbing your body (because he can't fly) he uses his beak to do most of the work. His body seems to be closer to the ground??? Like his legs aren't long enough? And when he's walking his toes / nails kinda curl in. His feet don't feel as strong as Lucy's or Sookie's when he's on your bare skin. Does that make any sense? But he plays and moves around the cage just fine. He's constantly on the boing and the toys.

Hopefully the vet will have the experience to know if there is a problem with his feet or whether he will grow out of it. I hope its the latter. Casper, although he has not been clipped has a bit of arthritis and doesn't fly far, when climbing he also uses his beak a lot and often puts a wing out to steady himself. He's on Metacam to ease the joint pain as he was sort of going ouch when having a good wing stretch. He can now stretch without complaining.
