You are so right. There are reflections all over our world both indoors and outdoors. Its a great topic!

I'm not going to check out the link because I want to keep a free mind without influence. Just one question though, the word reflections has two meanings, mirror images and contemplation/thoughtfulness - can our entries be related to either or, if not, which one?And the term "reflection" can also mean a result. Ex: "It was a reflection of his courage." But as I'm sure we all know, Dianne is speaking of visually detectable reflections :)

Upon reflection, I think you are probably right. :)
I have got a couple of good portrait photos of people in a reflective mood though. :th_biggrin:

Position the pictures so they are reflecting back from a mirror (as a mirror image)

R for Really!
E for easy now
F for forget it!
L for leave it alone
E for enough!
C for come on now
T for too much!
I think I need to start a new thread for the contest. This one is messed up!

Aha this topic has taken on a life of its own.
We were awoken this morning by a juvenile greenfinch tapping on the window. All we could see was this little head popping up and pecking the glass as he ran backwards and forwards along the sill. Do you think he was attacking his own reflection or was he wondering about the invisible barrier between him and the tree he could see because it is reflected in the glass?
We have, in the past, had blue-tits attacking their reflections in the door mirrors on our cars.

Do you think he was attacking his own reflection or was he wondering about the invisible barrier between him and the tree he could see because it is reflected in the glass?Either-or. It may also be that the reflective imagery from the glass pane inspired him to reflect upon a previous encounter with similar appearance, but with a non-obstructive result. He thus may have been a bit confused. I suppose that's similar to the latter possibility you've given, though.

I can get a bit confused looking at my reflection now that I am in my 70's. Who is that?? My daughters birthday is the 29th and they will be 53. How did that happen? Life in the fast lane I guess. Fast as in time slipping away.
Hello :). I've been missing all the excitement! I'm not sure where we are in the pondering but when I suggested "reflections" as a photo topic..I was thinking mirror, window or off the water type photo..but I'm all good with whatever you guys think. Reflective moods are also interesting! :)

Well Mare I inserted a link into the beginning of the Photo contest thread for April thinking it would help people understand. I hope it did.
