I went to Parrot Mountain today and I met a new addition. A 7 month old little one:

Here is George, the friendliest/cuddliest M2 I have ever had the pleasure of meeting.

Are you bringing them home? I guess Rosie would do a flip cartwheel or two.

Wow that is an absolutely gorgeous bird, I am definitely going to Parrot Mountain this summer.

Charlie and I might move there and never come back :th_wink:

Dianne - Rosie would freak and so would Jef! Lol Those guys actually aren't for sale. They do sell babies. They had mostly small species babies. There was a golden conure baby, which I had never seen before. Larger than most and so sweet and cuddly. Just lays and snuggles in. The woman in the nursery said that is pretty much the way all the baby golden conures she had raised are. They are super expensive - $4000.00.

I had to wait forever to get a pic of George. He is one of the most popular birds they have. They use him for pictures and he is also a super cuddler. One woman had him for about 45 minutes. When I finally got a moment with him, he was happy to get a head scratch. He actually fell asleep. Such a love.

I was happy that I was able to cuddle with both as well as a few others. Such a fun day. :)

Up close and personal with a very rare species is a once in a lifetime treat. George has a very gentle expression.

Kim - that really was all I took. I was very busy holding and snuggling the parrots. I preened Peaches the M2s crest for about an hour which was neat for me. Never preened a cockatoo before. :)

Hey Kendra! Looks like you all are having a fun time! Have you noticed the Tennessee accent when the parrots talk?
