I think in todays world we should remember to help other people when its needed. Even if its a small thing. With all the nastiness going around we need some niceness.

Its Passover time and my neighbor, who is 89, is getting ready. She needs to clean out all of the closets and cabinets where food is stored and put Passover food on the shelves. I offered to help because its a big job for an elderly person. It took us about 3.5 hours and 3 black plastic bags of expired food to finish. We washed off the shelves too. She is so happy its done! She gave me 3 beautiful strawberries for the birds. It feels good to do something for another person.

This neighbor, Shirley, as I have posted before just loves Kobi and Tango so much. I have another photo of her getting kisses from them.

So during this Easter/Passover time of the year please do something for another person to make yourself smile.

In Britain a lot of the elderly still have the "never throw anything away" attitude left over from WW2. Consequently, when we move them into care homes we find fridges and freezers full of foodstuff that should have been thrown away years ago. Try telling them beforehand that the freezer hasn't been opened for ten years and it is just wasting electricity and they still won't let you clear it out. :(

True but sad. How many people really look at an expiration date on a can of food? Especially if you have poor vision. She never hesitated throwing the old food containers away.

I try and carry that mentality with me all year. You never know the struggles someone has faced.

I like to do random acts of kindness for people, not for any repayment just to know I did something nice for someone is satisfaction enough for me.

That was very nice of you Dianne, I am sure she truly appreciated it.
