We left for our trip a bit after noon. Was planning on finishing packing after spending some cuddle/preening time with Rosie.
Jef scheduled a new roof installation starting at 730 this morning. Lots of strange men and BANGING, which shook the house.
So as Rosie and I start our cuddle session some strange men walk by the window. WHAT??? Stop touching me right now, can't you see there are predators outside who want to KILL us???
The rest of the morning did not go well. First she went between clinging to me and pinching my neck to tell me there was danger and I needed to get us away. Then Rosie decided she only wanted to be on top of her cage with all the blinds closed, screaming insanely to warn the neighborhood . When I tried to get her she freaked out and nailed me pretty good. I left her for a while and retrieved her for our shower. This was not an easy task. She seemed ok but after her blow dry she went to the top of her cage and we had a standoff. She finally took pity on me and went in her cage right around the time we needed to leave.
Bailey my yorkie bichon was also a freaked out shaking mess.
Not the morning I was hoping for. Poor babies. At least the roof was finished by the time we were leaving.
