Is this normal? I have all natural soda but I am worried whether I should give into my Quakers attempts to test my soda?

Hi Sandy. No, you shouldn't give in. Soda pop contains sugar and usually caffeine. Neither are healthy for birds. Plus, if you decide to give in, your bird may learn to expect it. So not a great idea.

Hi Sandy. Glad to meet you. Instead of soda there are several juices that are good for birds. One of them is carrot juice. My birds all seem to love it. When I cook grains for my birds instead of cooking them in water I cook them in carrot juice. Oh and if any food or drink label says "natural" please know there are no regulations for this category. Its usually just a word to enhance sales. Organic is a better way to go.

Thank you for posting this Dianne, Charlie loves carrots so I think he will like carrot juice (but I could be wrong) good to know about the juice and birds are like kids, my sons only get soda as a treat but of courses they want it all the time. I would not give Charlie soda, he had enough energy as it is lol.

Casper stole a chip (french-fry) from my plate yesterday, then proceeded to eat the potato inside and leave the crispy outer part. Sensible lad.
