I don't have any earrings anymore. Rosie likes to remove them. The woman I work with gave me a macaw necklace for xmas.
Very cool pic Mare. Artsy indeed! But I can't see the earrings. Still like the pic. Is that on your property?
Thanks Kendra and yes, I took this from our downstairs patio. I AM wearing a cockatoo earring, you just really have to look hard for it :). I have some GW macaw earrings floating around here somewhere's, just can't find them at the moment..hmm..anyways,,I always think of you and Rosie when I see them :)

I have several pairs I made back in the time I was making jewelry. Most of them are made with the Swarovski crystals. U will have to do a photo shoot of some of the stuff I made. I kept a few. To be continued.....................

OK took a few photos but no bird earrings. I worked in the African/Southwest style of creating. Got high quality stones and also worked with bone. Here are bracelets, 1 necklace (favorite) and some earrings.

The blue crystal earrings are quite special. I was in an antique store and saw a very old 3 strand necklace of these blue crystals. I had them examined by a person in the business and he said they were in fact antique because they were not made any more. Color was called "blue flame". I broke down the necklace that cost me $35. and made bracelets, earrings and a couple necklaces. One necklace sold for $275. All in all I made about $400. from one necklace. I no longer make jewelry because I was spending too much for high quality stones with little coming in. Kept a few of them.
I also love the red crystal earrings as they are my birthstone and the quality. They are Ruby crystals.
Very pretty, Dianne! Do you wear them? My birthstone is also ruby, those are gorgeous! I love jewelry, I think mostly it's beauty because I'm very minimalist when it comes to wearing it. Here are some of my birdy type earrings.

Oh I love those. Just my kind of earrings. I love what the earrings are laying on too!
Do I wear jewelry any more? Every once in a while but at this stage in my life it mostly just gets in the way. I do wear earrings more so the holes do not close up on me.
Thanks :) what they are laying on is a tablecloth we brought back from Peru..I love their textiles.

That was my favorite one so I did not want to sell it. Thanks. I have more that I would consider letting go. Some Amathist stones. Some turquoise with tiger eye. I loved all the stones but especially labradorite. One of the bracelets has those stones
Mare I don't want to hijack your thread.

No worries, Dianne! Go for it! :). I really liked that first necklace, too! I have a bead necklace that Tim strung from old beads he found in an ancient Indian camp..I'll see if I can find it..
Michelle, I'll help you look around. My friend bought the ones I have at a craft fair.
Whoa! I just went to Amazon.com and discovered that we aren't the only freaks out there that like cockatoo jewelry!! Check it out, Michelle!! :)

I only wear sterling, and I am a nurse so I don't wear a lot of jewelry to work. (I make up for it when I am not working though, I love jewelry.)
I have a sterling pair of feather earrings that I wear all of the time, and some necklaces with gemstones and tiny sterling feathers on them.
What I find interesting is all of the July birthday bird people! Me, too! July 14th!
