What is on your Spring time list to do? Of course I always wash the winter dirt off the glass. Looking to buy a long handled washer that makes it easer on the shoulders. Also planting a container of bird eats in the balcony this year. Got a huge pot and 2 bags of organic potting soil. OHG I can hardly lift them. Also get the car washed. How about you?

Got the seeds planted in a large pot for romaine lettuce and snap peas. Of course I got the comment "do you plant anything for yourself"

I'm haven't made any plans thus far other than getting the flower garden beds turned and adding compost. Somewhere between then or after to get the outdoor furniture cleaned up or replaced if needed. Hope the summer isn't too humid as I would like to spend more days outside rather than in the air conditioning.

I need to plant some chives and cilantro around my little living Christmas tree so it can go outside without getting spider mites, and get any summer camps and programs for my daughter all set up. I'm sure more things will occur to me, but thats all I can think of right now.

Does anyone do spring cleaning anymore? My Mom used to tear the house apart with cleaning everything in site.

Its one of those things I always plan to do but wait for a nice day to start. Then, when we do eventually get a nice day it is usually far too nice to waste on cleaning. :)

Oh Diane! Thank you so much for reminding me that spring is just around the corner. And that I have many lists of things that need to be done, depending on the topic. There are birds thing like power washing the cage and training Salty to use the harness and arranging for Birds sitting the few times that everyone will be away at a gig with me. There are house things. like cleaning up the property from all the stuff that the wind blows and gets covered by snow and repairing the ride around lawn mower and replacing a few shingles that came off in the storm and washing the storm windows and replacing three of them and replacing the screen door in the front and starting with the anti ant treatment and spraying for Poison Ivy. And then there are the pool things like replacing the pump, and replacing the lining on the pool, And just plain opening of the pool. And then there are the car things like opening up the Z3 convertible for use, and replacing the snow tires on all the cars, and doing oil changes on all the cars And figuring out what that annoying rattle is in my Z3 coupe. Oh yes Diane thank you so much for reminding me.

Albert..you are going to be working into the fall! :). Rugs, windows, screens is first on my list. The birds cages need a good scrubbing, the next nice day I will pull Sassy and Jellybeans outside to the deck and get going on that. I've started on weeding, that's a huge job with all the adobe walkways and patios we have around here, the grass pops up between the bricks...then, we have the gardens.

Guess that is the price tag for living in paradise. Mare did you get a nest box yet?

Yes, Dianne, I Amazoned a cockatiel nest box, not a bad price of $28 but Sassy freaked out on it!! When we buy beer, we buy the box of 12packs and save the boxes for the birds. These boxes are what I attach to Sassy's cage for her to enjoy. Well.. The cockatiels are now enjoying a beer box (on the outside of their cage) with "longboard" as the logo! Sassy is completely happy and so are the cockatiels :). I really need to bring in a larger cage to incorporate the nest box into. It's too large to fit in the current cage. It's DEFINITELY on my list! :). I need to do it soon, though. These two are starting to nest, no eggs yet but I'm guessing, soon.
