View Full Version : All I really want to do..
Let's get some photos going, folks! I had Amigo on the deck, a few days ago and he says.."All I really want to do is..bite off my mom's earring!"

Haha Margaret doesn't dare wear earings when Casper is around, we have spent many a happy* time searching for the little gold back studs which have been ripped off. She has a set of fake pearls which have a magnetic clasp so she can quick release when Casper makes a beeline for them.
Here is an old pic of Casper sneakily trying to remove Margaret's earing

Thank you, I have been working my way through all the threads you posted in the Free Flying section. Some fantastic stuff there and the story about the red tailed kite attack had me on the edge of my seat. I bet that kite got quite a shock when he realised that Amigo was very able to fight back. Being on the receiving end of an angry parrot's beak is a nasty experience as we know too well.
If only we had better weather and were more rural I think Casper could be a free flyer - well it would probably be more free tree climbing because he doesn't fly much, possibly because he has had a break in one of his wing bones in the past which may cause some discomfort, or it may just be that he feels much safer close to us. We can walk around outdoors with him on our shoulder and I think you would have to peel him off.
Yesterday we took him to see his first Mom (and my only Mom) as it was Mother's Day here. He was excited as soon as we got into the car park of the care home, despite only having been there once before and was flock calling from my shoulder as we walked down the corridor to Livvy's room much to the amusement of the other inmates/residents and staff.
This morning he was giving us his full repertoire of Livvy impersonations so I think he enjoyed seeing her again even though he was a bit shy about being handled by her when we were there. Perhaps he was happy to see her but was worried in case we were going to leave him there. No chance of that, their fees are horrendous. Imagine a five star hotel with full nursing/care staff and you will get my drift :)

What a sweety pie!
Great pics guys and gals! Love the post Jean-Pierre. I'm glad you got to take him to visit your Mom and had a nice time.
Nice photo of the both of you. Amigo looks so big!!
Thank you, Dianne..he IS big! :)
Jean-Pierre, that's wonderful that you took Casper to see his first/your only, mom :).
I tossed the wild turkeys some grain this morning. I've been trying to get a pic of the males with their fanned out tails, bad vibing each other but they're a little more elusive this year.
