Hello everyone! we were just flying by and noticed your Forum and thought we would swoop down and perch awhile. Let us formally introduce ourselves. We are Bentley and Isabella (Bella) Pinkerton AKA The Pinkertons! we are a pair of Major Mitchel's Cockatoos . Our Human wants to learn as much as she can to keep us in tip top shape. P.S. we are reintroducing ourselves because of technical difficulty on "Precisely Parrots" our threads got lost anyway hope this one sticks!:oops2:

Welcome to PP, The very pink Pinkertons, and Suzanne as well :). We're so happy to have you as members :). I love MM Toos... they are astonishingly beautiful and The Pinkerton's are especially gorgeous! I'll be looking forward to hearing all about The Pinkerton's and seeing plenty of their photos (as I'm sure our other members will).

By the way, none of your posts should vanish. They may, however, be held in the moderation queue for a bit until you reach that magic number of posts. And that should be very soon :D

Hello, they are a bit larger, Bentley is on the small side he averages around 395-400 grams. Bella is a big girl at 420-425 grams. (depending when they get weighed) The breeder had her (Bella)DNA sexed because she's so big! :th_eek:

Majors=Size:35cm (13.6 in) Weight:340-425 grams .

Goffins =Size: 22.5 cm (9 inches) Weight 220 -390 grams.

I am so happy you joined us because I think Major Mitchel's Cockatoos are one of the prettiest parrots in the world. I have the privilege of seeing one in person and just about lost my breath over the beauty. The one I saw was a neglected bird that was adopted by a very lucky person. There were crowds of bird lovers around the bird and it still behaved well. Please tell us some stories about your birds if you desire.
