So recently, since Nash can fly now.. he really really loves to.. He is in a room with my guinea pigs and whenever I am there he is always out with me unless he absolutely cannot be ( Like when I am cooking or something ), and so the past few days he has taken a liking to my guinea pigs and is very interested in them.. He flys into their cage ( It's an open top c&c cage and even if I did make a top for it, he can fit through the bars)

Here's a pic of the guinea pig cage for those who have no clue what I'm talking about lol:

Anyways he flys into it and i have to immediately go grab him so he or the guineas don't get hurt.. I can usually occupy him enough with treats or kisses that he won't go, but recently he just flies right back if I get him out.. He's been in a few situations where I have literally had to GRAB him, and it makes me so upset because I feel like I am losing his trust!

He bites my hand really hard now sometimes for no reason because he doesn't trust me anymore.. I don't want to do this and like I have stressed before in this thread there's nowhere in the house he can go except right here in my room. He was in my brothers room for a while but since my brother got a new reptile of his own, he cannot fit in his room.

I want Nash to know I mean well when I swoop him up but I know I can't speak bird and he can't speak english.. What do I do? I don't want to sacrifice my guineas for him, and like in the picture their cage is HUGE so if Nash's cage can't fit anywhere else neither can theirs...

Have you tried just like a cloth netting to just discourage him from landing in it? Maybe a perch over it so he can watch the action without having to be in the action? Never had that particular difficulty so I'm just throwing out ideas...

I will see if that can work.. Maybe fasten it over the top tight so that he lands but can't get through.. Seems like a good idea!

That does sound like a great suggestion.

All I could think of would be a thin piece of plexi glass, over the top and if necessary around the whole cage. You might have to drill holes small enough to keep Nash out and yet big enough for ventilation for the Guineas'.
