The Lafeber Company ([Users must be registered and logged in to view attached photos or hyperlinks]) has quite the educational web page. Here is an example: [Users must be registered and logged in to view attached photos or hyperlinks]

So true spiritbird the same goes for people food and treats, got to read the ingredients to really have a good understanding of what's in them. Advertising is very tricky. Made from is not the same as made with.

I've been reading "Wheat Belly" by William Davis, MD. Was that you, Dianne, who mentioned this book a while back? I've been educated and "rather floored" by how much wheat has changed, due to being genetically modified, over the past 40-50 years! I can imagine it isn't that good for our birds, either.

I don't think any genetically modified food is a good idea, not even for a bug!!!!!

The food industry is doing so much to our foods in general its hard to even think about it. Now is the time to be a small farmer and grow you own. My Yoga instructor is mostly free of the grocery store. They even grow their own foods in a greenhouse in winter. Raise chickens and all is organic. Too bad, as bird people, we cannot grow paper towels.
