Due to my current stresses, last night I couldn't go right to sleep. And I put my fids to bed at 10, so I didn't keep them up too late.
I decided they could still benefit from the situation so I made them a new bird bread. They really didn't like the last batch (well Chiqui and pineapple eat every thing but loki didn't like it). So I tried something else.

1 sweet potato, 1 can organic pumpkin, 2 t honey, 1 cup chopped mango (should have puréed it), 1 egg, 1/2 c (ish) almond milk, 1 c whole wheat flour, 1 c corn meal, 1 tbl coconut oil, and 1 bag mixed veggies. Sprinkled with cinnamon! It looks delicious made a huge 9 x 13.
If I remember I will take a pic of the evidence later as I suspect they'll all like this one. I hope!

Nice, what temp did you cook it on and for how long? I only have one bird so making bread I would have to cut down the recipe or my freezer would be stuffed with treats that would probably out weigh the human food. Looking forward to seeing and hearing about the results.

Well... Nobody ate it today sadly. Hopefully tomorrow they do because it looked darn good!!! I did give them all 1/8 c seeds last night which I don't normally... So that might have had something to do with it. Spoiled brats.

I cooked it at 375 for about 30-45 min. Doneness checked as I would a cake.

I still want to get some from you. Do you add pumpkin seeds also? I bet my two would love it. Maybe you can post the ingredients and I could find them at Trader Joe's.

It's pretty easy. I think we live very close if I remember. Maybe I could make some and bring it in a cooler when I'm in owings mills working then you would have a 4 hour window in the evening to come grab it!

I'm there every Sunday evening. You'll just have to let me know what your birdies especially like and what you'd like included in it.
