Shiny metal parrot toy

Hi All
Nike does not play with anything with the exception of the buttons on my shirt and my wife's earings so I'm looking for a shiny toy for her to fiddle with. Something like this ([Users must be registered and logged in to view attached photos or hyperlinks]) might work but I'm not paying $36 shipped for it.

Can I use small shiny keys like from luggage etc?

I believe the common metals that are used to make keys are; Brass or nickle-plated brass and aluminum.

IMO the AVIANSTAINLESS.COM site (they're closed right now for a website remodel but should re-open soon) is your safest choice.

Our Sassy goffins loves playing with stainless steel spoons, I'm thinking of making her a type of mobile with them, for her cage. Maybe some small spoons would work for Nike..?

Good idea! I've seen people use Stainless Steel measuring spoons that already have a hole in the handle.

Bill that item says it is SS which is the best metal for our birds. The spoons are great too and you can buy them in a kitchen store or on line and give your bird one at a time. Nike is tiny so anything other than an infant spoon would be too big I think. I've found this on Amazon ([Users must be registered and logged in to view attached photos or hyperlinks])and will probably give it a try.....I could also raid my wife's earring rack ;)

That is a very good price for a toy with SS items. If she likes it you will hear the sounds which are not all that loud. You are a good birdy Daddy!
