So I'm curious as to what this might have been. I've got a young 6-7 month old pair of bonded parakeets (Lady & Tramp). They groom each other, eat together, they do everything together. I plan to breed them in the fall. Anyways, when I uncovered them this morning Tramp had this weird milky looking liquid droplets on the side of his neck. I have no clue what it might have been? It dried within a few minutes. I don't think it came from him since it was a spot he couldn't even reach on himself.
No, they are not sick. But I'm wondering if maybe they had been trying to mate and it possibly got all over him? That's all I can think. I thought maybe it was regurgitation, but when I looked up pictures it wasn't liquid and white.

Could be have been underneath another bird who messed on him?

Nope. It's just him and her and they sleep on their swing side by side untill they are uncovered in the morning. It didn't look like bird droppings either. It literally looked like he got milk splattered on him. It had to have just happened too since it dried so fast. It was so strange.

Humm, all we can do is guess but you may never know. I was thinking maybe one had gotten a drink of water and went back to the perch. Well you all know all to well how they shake off food or water from their face. Could perhaps this of happened? Was the droplet itself really milky looking or could it of been water against his white feathers giving the appearance of a milky substance :indecisiveness:?

No they were definitely white. He is a blue grey wing and the white drops are so white they weren't see through. Hmm, I guess I will never know.
